These terms are the agreement between you and AIEraTech for using Vai. We've written them to be readable. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.

Vai (the “Service”) is operated by AIEraTech (“we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Vai mobile application. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Vai. If you are under 18, you may use Vai only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service, you confirm you meet these requirements.

2. What Vai does

Vai records or imports audio and uses AI to produce transcripts and structured notes — including lecture, meeting, and voice-note style summaries. Features, limits, and supported languages may change as we improve the Service.

3. Your account

You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. Provide accurate information when you register, and let us know if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Vai offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. Paid plans unlock additional features such as higher recording limits, additional recording modes, and export options.

Payment is handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play, according to their terms. We do not process your payment details directly.
Auto-renewal — subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
Managing & cancelling — you manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple or Google account settings, not within Vai.
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their respective refund policies.
Pricing may change; we will give notice of changes as required, and changes will not affect a billing period you've already paid for.

Free plans include monthly usage limits (such as a cap on the number of summaries and recording length). These limits are part of the Service and may be adjusted over time.

5. Acceptable use

When using Vai, you agree not to:

Record anyone without the consent required by the laws that apply to you.
Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you don't have the right to process.
Misuse, disrupt, reverse-engineer, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure.
Use the Service to build a competing product or to abuse our AI providers' systems.

6. Your content

You own the audio you record and the notes Vai generates for you. To operate the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and transmit your content to our service providers (including our AI provider) solely to provide Vai's features to you. We don't claim ownership of your content and we don't use it to advertise to you.

7. AI-generated output

Vai's notes are produced by automated AI models and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. They are provided for your convenience and are not professional, legal, medical, or financial advice. Always review important notes and verify anything you rely on.

8. Our intellectual property

The Vai app, its name, logo, design, and underlying software are owned by AIEraTech and protected by law. These Terms don't grant you any right to our branding or software beyond using the app as intended.

9. Termination

You may stop using Vai and delete your account at any time from the app's Settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that harms other users, our providers, or us. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as content licences already granted, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will continue to apply.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of AI output. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that summaries will be accurate or complete.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AIEraTech will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When changes are material, we'll update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Vai after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be subject to the courts located in India, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
